Daily Log-Week 1

June 1 - Fri.
I had a couple of glasses of wine last evening, and true to form, awoke in the night and only dozed after.  I don't think it will be too hard to trade wine for a better sleep!
2 cups of coffee
Breakfast: fried egg on spinach with a dab of 1/2 butter, 1/2 olive oil, big glass o'water
Lunch: spinach and half a NY steak, big glass o'water
Snack:  two rounded teaspoons of almond butter
Dinner:  Egg glop: italian sausage, sun dried tomatoes in olive oil, mushrooms, chopped green chilies, broccoli slaw, eggs--scrambled with some salsa on top.
3 quarts water
8 hours sleep!!!!
Exercise: minimal (morning mobility + yard work

June 2 - Sat.
Breakfast: Sin of Cortez Nirvana + 1 1/2 cups of coffee
Lunch: leftover egg glop--cold, YUM!  no salsa
Snack:  roasted almonds
Dinner:  BBQed pork loin, asparagus (no mayo!), 1/2 sliced tomato w/ balsamic
Snack: 2 rounded tsp almond butter
Water:  4 x 16oz
Sleep:  8 hrs. (woke up once around 2am)
Exercise:  yard work, easily lifted 70lb. bags of sand from store to car to yard :-),

June 3 - Sun.
Took my dog for a brisk walk to Safeway Starbucks (round trip about 15 min)
Breakfast:  Omelette with bacon, tomato, gr. onion, artichoke hearts + spinach + 2 c coffee
Lunch:  Pork loin, sliced tomato w/ balsamic, broccoli
Dinner:  Leftover 'egg glop' scramble
Water:  4 x 16 oz.
Sleep:  8 hours, improved restfulness
Exercise:  yardwork, housework
Hmmm, felt great in the morning, but very lightheaded in the afternoon...

June 4 - Mon.
Love the rain!  Puttered in the garden before breakfast, sweeping sand mostly...
Breakfast:  Fried egg and broccoli w/ dab o'mayo + 2 c coffee, remembered fish oil (1400/980 Omega 3 x 3) and vit D 1k x 2)
Lunch:  BBQ London Broil, sliced tomato w/balsamic
Snack:  couple rounded tsp. of almond butter
Dinner:  La hacienda Wilted Spinach Salad-NO CHEESE (spinach, chicken breast, slice apple pieces, walnuts; dijon dressing w/bacon)* I think it's supposed to have hard boiled egg, but just realized it didn't :-(
Water: 4 x 16 oz
Sleep: 8 hours
Exercise: Swept sand before the rain :-), yard work/housework in the morning; afternoon workout

June 5 - Tues
Off to work at school today, with a couple of meetings into the evening
Breakfast:  Fried egg and broccoli w/dab o'mayo
Lunch:  London Broil, asparagus, and tomato + cup of coffee (I think I discovered the source of my stomach rumblings.... :-(  (Got any suggestions for a coffee replacement?)
Dinner:  Two small BBQ chicken thighs, broccoli, dab o'mayo
Water:  4.5 16 oz.
Sleep:  8.5 hours
Exercise:  yard work, stretches, rolling on lacrosse ball (hips and scapula)

June 6 - Wed.
Breakfast:  Spinach scramble and bacon, coffee,
Lunch:  London Broil, sliced tomato, asparagus w/ balsamic
Dinner:  Two eggs, broccoli, and tomato
Water: 4 x 16oz.
Sleep:  6 hours
Exercise: morning stretches, afternoon workout

June 7 - Thurs.
Breakfast: 1 egg, broccoli,
Lunch: Tritip
Dinner:  Chicken-Basil sausage + 1/2 serving eggplant + green salad w/ balsamic
1/2 glass red wine
Snack:  sweet potato chips, almonds
Water: 2 x 16oz
sleep:  9 hours
Exercise:  Brisk 2-hour walk barefoot on the sand :-D

That's week one, including a fun day at the beach!
